Dave Bliven

David Bliven is Founder and Managing Director of Cottonwood Technology Funds, a founding and seed stage investor in IP based companies considered to have disruptive potential in their industries. Cottonwood has offices in Santa Fe, NM and Enschede, The Netherlands and focuses across technologies including photonics, robotics, health sciences, energy and advanced materials. Cottonwood has raised three Funds totaling over $125M.

Prior to Cottonwood, Mr. Bliven founded and served as Managing Director of Southeast Interactive. Based in the RTP, NC, Southeast Interactive became the largest information technology-focused fund based in the Southeast at that time.

Mr. Bliven serves or has served on numerous boards of directors including Skorpios, xF Technologies, Exagen (XGN), Respira, Bayotech, Infinitum Electric, Sarcos (STRC), The Pantry (PTRY), Opensite (sold to Siebel), Accipiter (sold to CMGI), and Channelogics (sold to Scientific Atlanta). He holds a MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.
