Sami Shihabi is Chief Commercial Officer of Circular Genomics. He is a seasoned healthcare executive with 30 years of experience driving strategic direction and commercial revenue growth across the specialty pharmaceutical, diagnostics, and biotech industries. His career is marked by a consistent track record of delivering sustainable growth, driving customer engagement, and scaling business operations for companies of various sizes and stages.​

 

Most recently serving as the Chief Operating Officer at Dionysus Digital Health, Sami built the operational infrastructure and commercial launch readiness plans for a women's health epigenetics diagnostic platform for predicting the risk of developing postpartum depression during pregnancy. Prior to that, Sami held the position of Chief Commercial Officer at Biora Therapeutics, where he led both the women's health and gastrointestinal business units, overseeing the development and commercialization of a portfolio of molecular diagnostic tests and device/therapeutics combination products. He also successfully led the commercial development of innovative products, such as the first multianalyte proteomics test for predicting preeclampsia risk. Prior to that, Sami held various leadership positions at Prometheus Laboratories, where he led all commercial and business operations functions, including the development of strategic roadmaps and successfully launching multiple innovative and market-disrupting diagnostic tests.

 

Sami holds an MBA in marketing from the University of California, Irvine Paul Merage School of Business, a master’s degree in molecular biology from Penn State University, and a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences from the University of California, Davis.
